  • [Regurgitation] Please help !!!!!!!!

I'm freaking out right now, my beloved Otis just regurgitated. I noticed last night that he had past a lot of feces and was acting a little weird( very stiff, thin & not hardly moving). I pulled him out tonight and he was acting the same so I set him on the floor to go get the miss, when we came back (about 15 second later) we found him like this.

I know snakes do this but I've owned at least 100 snakes in my life and have never witnessed this behavior. I looks so painful and it has me worried sick....... Please lend me any advise you have ! ! !

He ate a large medium - small large white rat(I'm pretty sure it was all white) about 10 - 12 days ago, that was killed and frozen by me about a week before he ate. NO stress (that I know of). I'll read what you posted.

My Guyanas are doing the same thing. Have now for a few feedings. Vet appt. set for this Wed. If this is the first time, from what I've gathered from people on here, wait 2-3 weeks to feed again and offer food much smaller than what you normally feed. If it happens again, then vet appt needs to be set. Yours looks like a BCC. From what everyone tells me, BCCs do this more often b/c of their sensitive stomachs. I wish you luck. Hopefully this will be an isolated incident. It was really good for you to catch a video of it. Although it made me realize the pain my boy and girl have to go through when it happens.

I'm just about positive that he"s dieing..... I'm so crushed right now...... I know I should be leaving him alone right now as to not stress him out but I just check on him and he"s gone totally limp, his mouth is not fully closed and his tongue is sticking out a bit. I feel so helpless..... He was my first Boa and had COMPLEATLY reunited me with my passion for snakes..... I don't know what I'll do if I lose him....
