[Health-General] Oh gross, did I just see what I think I saw?

Ok so my big male Nic has been refusing food and zipping around his cage for about a full month now. I am almost %100 positive this is breeding related so I'm not really worried. Today I went to check on my herps and I noticed Bambi with his tail up in the air, I freaked and ran over the cage just in time to witness him flex his tail revealing the hemis and then "something" came out. So how similar is their "reproductive" fluid to say a humans or monkeys? I've only seen pics of "plugs" in water dishes and this was more like mammal ejaculate. It made me flash back to my mothers Woolly Monkey whenever we had guests over, kinda funny and gross at the same time, like Seth Rogan.

LOL c'mon I'm serious. There was no yellow or green color to it so I'm pretty sure it's not puss, but it definitely did not look like the "plugs" I've seen pictured in water dishes.

Did you examine it for consistency and odor? The scent might be faint so you have to get REAL close to you nose!

NOT COOL! I almost missed that last part, that was mean lol. So I'm guessing my suspicions are correct and he's fine. I'm a little messed up though, he was looking right at me when he did it, cheeky bugger. How long will this go on for since he won't be breeding this year?

Just be glad he did it in the cage. "Sometimes", during breeding season, a male will get "excited" when you remove him from his cage for cleaning.....
It's not a pleasant thing to see.... up close.

Oh believe me I was all of two inches away at the time cause I was worried about what was happening and the little creep actually turned his head to look at me for his big finish. He better not do it on me when I get him out to clean...I'm an eye for an eye kinda guy. Wait a minute, no on further thought I don't wanna be that guy, I'll just be the turn the other cheek g....oh jeeze that doesn't work either! Forget it I'll just buy baby wipes.

I have had it happen to me a few times. I went to help a friend learn to handle a boa he had gotten that was a little on the grumpy and not been handled much. Well as soon as I got him out of the cage he smeared it all up my arm.

Happened to me about a month ago. Took my male Ghost out to give him a feed break,and he let loose allover my arm. Wife and kids thought it was pretty funny!
