strange pink colour on body

My boa, Uther has recently developed light pink striations ??? (kind of looks as though the area has been bleached for want of a better terminology) that run down the length of his body, but they are not on his belly...does anyone know what they might be, I am a bit worried :-[

HMM.. Could youi provide any pics of what it is your talking about at all ?
Could be a normal color change type thing or could be a health related thing. Sorry, couldn't really say either way atm. Pics might help though....

My big female has the same thing.  She just shed last night and now she has this bleached color.  There is also a small spot where it looks like the scales came off and the skin is showing. BTW these ARE NOT scars from rat bites or anything like that, just the scale coloration has changed. She looked normal before, but after she shed this is what she looked like. I am stumped ??? :-/ I have no clue as to what this could be from. This is the first time any of my boas have had this. All help would be appreciated.

Does it seem to bother the snake at all..... or is it just look weird...
I have seen some other types of snakes that loose color some times with age... Kinda like that but I don't think that is what this is... But you never know... It could be a good thing...
Well we will just have to see what people say on this one...

Let me explain in more detail, the boa started to get blisters it looked like underneath the scales, after a few sheads she looked better, then the blisters came back and she shead today, however after sheeding she has many places where she looks like her scales have been bleached lighter and also some places where it has a pinkish hue. She also has a spot that concerns me the most where it looks like all scales are gone and just pink looking and she looks like she is getting more blisters. Please advise as soon as possible if anyone has any idea of cause and also how to cure this problem. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you got going on with your boa . I would definently get it checked out by an experienced reptile vet..
I've got a boa that has been getting a lighter coloration as he is getting closer to breeding age.
Please keep us posted on whats going on with your snake.

I just took Bonnie to the vet today. It turns out it is a bacterial thing. It's also in her blood, so I have to give her a shot of fortaz every 3 days and a bath in diluted noluason (sp?) every day. If you have this problem see a vet ASAP because it could be something serious.
