    :-[ Hello Fourm,
The other day I was handeling my snake and, I saw that on his belly toward the vent there were a few belly scales that weren't normal. It allmost looks like a small cut in his belly. Is this normal or should I be alarmed?

    Thankyou

      Re: Belly scales

There is definately a "spot" on the belly where the umbilical cord was attached. I do have a picture of that somewhere, let me see if I can find it and I will add it to this post.

The situation should be this. Any thing that looks natural or "built-in" should be fine. As in the natural cloaca opening, the line under the lower jaw, etc.

Cuts and burns will rarely look natural. They should stand out like a sore thumb. s9.gif

LOL... I forgot about people thinking awful things about that lil spot on the babies hehe. It's great that your so observant of your lil guy/gal though
I had someone once insist that their iggy had a "cut" on their tail.. Even after informing them that it was what is called a "vent' they still insisted that it was a cut...UGH.. Took me like an hour to convince them otherwise that night lol.
