color changing

i have noticed that my boa sometimes changes colors...she goes from a really light almost white backround color tyo more of an olive green... what causes this? at first i thought it was from her shedding, but it happens even when she's not going to shed. her mood also changes with her color. any help would be appreciated

color changes in my boa are always an indicator of temperature. when the tank temps rise on the cool end to around 84, my boa lightens up in color, when the temps are around 80 he appears darker in color.
