OK, so I've got a baby bci that I've had for about 6 weeks now. health wise, everything seems fine. however, when i handle him/her (not sure on sex as of yet), he/she will wrap his tail around my finger and won't let go. i'll sit on the couch or whatever and he/she will explore as far as it can go without letting go with it's tail. i've had ball pythons for 7-8 years and they cruise all over the place when i handle them, but this guy just anchors in and won't travel outside of his anchor point. anyone else ever experienced this? is this normal with young boas?

Re: Tail Wrap
i kind of figured that was probably the case. he even does it when i set him on the couch next to me...as in there's no way he could fall, so that kind of threw me for a loop. i don't remember any of my bps doing it when they were young. although i realize different animals will have different behavioral tendencies. still new to boas, so not 100% on all of their little quirks. i would think he'll get more adventurous as he (she?) gains some size.
i'll have to snap some pics. he's just a "normal" bci...morphs are cool and all, but i tend to prefer nature's camouflage.

Re: Tail Wrap
my boas were both very "anchored" when they were younger. now one, a 6 foot male, and a 4 foot female, run all over the place when i take them out. sometimes it can be difficult to handle a 6 footer who is determined to climb up a book shelf.
