I came home from work yesterday to a new smell in the boa room. One in which I knew was not feces.
I saw my 2012 Normal Male dead.
Luckily I was able to contact my vet at her home and agreed to examine him. She found it was cancer and not viral or bacterial. While I am very pleased that his death was not caused by something that could spread, I am still heart broken. This was the first boa that I ever got and was the one that turned me into a Boa-Freak and pushed me in this hobby.
It's a very sad day but I am happy with the fact that it was not something noticeable or spreadable. He ate all the way up to the very end, always shed no problem, normal feces and urates, and was seemingly fine. I guess he had a tumor around his 5th saddle and it just spread and took his life.
On another note.... lets all pray that in an hour from now we can still transport across state lines...
