Hi,
I'm posting for a friend of mine. About a week ago his snake got stuck behind a radiator in his room. She is about 8 ft long. She was stuck for about a week, (I know that's too long). Anyway, my friend got her out but obviously she was traumatized, hurt, and mad I'm sure. She looked really bad and was laying on her side for a few days. The thickest part of her body was wedged in a tiny space. Her scales are damaged and look very dried out, almost broken. She isn't eating but she is at least moving somewhat. However the other day she went into her water dish and put her head under the water and it almost looked like she was drowning herself. My friend had to pull her out and he said it looked like she spit up mucas. He also said that she was hissing at him which isnt normal for her. She is not very active at all. Her skin looks pretty damaged at the thickest part of her body where she was stuck. I did reasearch and from what i have gathered is it may be a respitory infection. Which would make sense as she couldnt regulate her body temp being stuck. He put her lamp next to her when she was stuck. He was hoping she would come out on her own. Anyway we live in North Dakota and it is very hard finding a vet that takes snakes. If anyone can give advice or information as how he can help her or what could be going on. He has had her since she was a baby and he thinks that she isn't gonna make it. So here I am asking for help and hoping there is some things he can do to help her. Thank you so much.
