  • Reply from Mississippi Senator

...and people in Mississippi wonder why we are stereotyped as illiterate thumb sucking idiots...I sent him the same letter that I sent to every other Senator and they were ALL regarding the proposed python ban...

    Below is his reply------

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Ban Poisonous Additives Act. I am glad to have the benefits of your views on this issue.

On March 12, 2009, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) introduced the Ban Poisonous Additives Act into the Senate. This legislation would eliminate the use of the toxic chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) from food and beverage containers regulated by the FDA. It also directs the Commissioner of Food and Drugs to periodically review substances listed in federal regulations and generally recognized as safe. If any of these recognized safe substances are proven to be toxic in humans or animals, it would be banned or restricted. Currently the Senate committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions is considering this legislation.

Be assured I will keep your views in mind as Congress considers legislation affecting poisonous additives. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever assist you.

    With best wishes, I am

    Sincerely yours,
    Roger F.Wicker
    U.S. Senate

Wow! And here I thought my Senator Carl Levin gave me the run around in his reply! That has nothing to do with S373.

My point exactly...Other than park my fanny outside their offices (which I can't afford to do)...any other suggestions? (Already sent other letters so maybe they'll help). Sheesh.

I would call and ask them if they knew they were sending out the wrong information. It would be pretty funny to be the one to call them out.

WOW! I thought I had reason to hate my senators. (Boxer and Fienstein)

I know these are all form letter responses, but that is rediculous!

They probably have a secretary who just pulls down the auto response from a list and she selected the wrong one.. I wonder if they even bother reading anything they are sent at all. Probably not.

It always warms the heart to know our voices and concerns are being heard with open ears.

Well, at least you received a response. Frank Lautenberg has yet to respond to any of my numerous emails.

That's hilarious or it would be if it wasn't so inept. They can't even be bothered
to grab the proper form letter to send back ?????

I tell ya what you do B. You take your letter and you tape it securely to a brick. Then take that brick and throw it as hard as you can at......

Well you can figure the rest out.

                          Re: Reply from Mississippi Senator

Well our senators probably don't read the bills either. Most probably don't even know what S373 even is. They vote for whatever they are told to vote for. Senators do each other favors and favors for the special interest groups, they don't care about the voters or who they are affecting.

I would definitely call and ask for an explanation. Ask if the senator even knows what the bill is then educate him on it, someone needs to.

                            ain't that the truth

sadly, this is not even the first reply I've seen on s373 that has nothing to do with it. I'd definitly agree with the fact they just pull down these canned responses from a drop down list and voila.
