USARK Lawsuit Update

USARK continues to strengthen our case! On Monday (4/27), USARK submitted the final brief (link below) to bolster our arguments before the preliminary injunction ruling to be made on May 7. In opening, we forcefully announce that FWS' previous supplemental memorandum provided no valid reasoning for the Court to deny our application for injunctive relief.

This battle was won but it is just one of many battles. The war still goes on. The fight will be over when "animal rights" groups stop trying to remove the animals from our care. This battle was won but Massachusetts just introduced a bill to remove all exotic animals from education events.

Yes snake keepers won the battle but the war isn't over by a long shot. USFWS/FedGov has a certain amount of time to appeal to the USSC and of course they can file an injunction to stay this particular ruling until the USSC has a chance to deal with the case.

Still, it's good news and I'm celebrating tonight.

That's a shame...that's where they DO belong...in education (when properly maintained, protected & explained). How else can you overcome fear & hatred?

But anyway, as already noted, this is still good news & sure could have been worse!

Dang, they won it on the grammar and phrasing of the actual Lacey Act. All it would take is changing about 2 words to ban interstate transport again.
