UNCA biology professor discovers silver boa

Too bad it's endangered, hopefully conservation efforts will be successful.

Wait, are you sure that silver boa isn't one of Ranger's 'sterlings' off on a vacation? (giggles)

Very cool finds, I really hope it's not too late, & it's sad to think what deforestation has already destroyed in so many places.

That's pretty awesome, I certainly hope they can keep it from becoming extinct.

This is where the pet trade could be useful. i know there are plenty of us who'd love to have one of these.

Yes, at least thru captive breeding by permits*, not poaching. (*as I'm sure you meant!)

It would be nice if controlled releases were possible too...fingers crossed for their habitat. Sure helps to be 'remote'.

Absolutely, I'd be thrilled to be part of a project like this even if it meant that any offspring had to be released once they got up to a certain size. Put me down for a group of 2.5.

Better cozy up to the prof, then...and whoever controls the situation. Oh, and you might have to move a lot closer...? LOL
