Re: Boaphile is here!!
I have mine set up finally. It dosen't get all that warm. Its only 85 on the warm side so far, hopefully it warms up a little more than that. Also do i have to drill any holes into it at all?? There Isn't any vents or anything like that.

Re: Boaphile is here!!
There is no need to cut or drill any holes into a Boaphile cage. There is a small gap that runs all the way around the door on the front of the cage. This gap allows plenty of air flow in and out of the cage.
As far as not having a thermostate. You should get one immediately! Flex watt does not regulate itself and you do not want to over heat your snake. I'm sure there are plenty of people on the forum who can tell you about a thermostat failure, if not... just give Jeff a call and he can tell you about some troubles other people have had.
When I set up my Boaphiles, I let them air out for a day or two and then it took another couple of days to get my temps regulated properly. I use the double thermostat that I got from Jeff when I bought my Boaphiles.
Good luck with everything, but trust me... don't hesitate to call Jeff with any questions regarding the Boaphile cages and any related questions. He's always been more than willing to help out."An increase in reptile education can lead to a decrease in reptile discrimination." - Bebo

I only placed my order on 10/5 so only been 3 1/2 week wait for me. think i got a few more
I hope I get mine soon. then I can get more snakes.
I know what you mean by filling them. I got the fat stack set up with 2 421's and I will only have 2 of the drawers filled and the 2 421's filled. I like to plan ahead though. lol I may end up using the drawers for baby hogs next year since they are first on my list to breed.
I DO want a monstertail or maybe a KW boa that was born in a boaphile to be put in one hopefully next year. That is if Jeff can let a pretty one go. lol
