  • Boaphile 4 stak and temp????

Let me start off by saying that I am very happy with the Boaphiles and now just trying to tweek them some more. what I have to start with: 4x421d's with RHP(1611) and 1.5 belly heat on all 4 (however i only run belly on the bottom tank) They all have lights on a 12 hr cycle during the day, and Rancho therm set at 90. Tank order is 1 at top and 4 on the bottom. avg's taken over a 5 day time frame

    Tank 1
    avg high 82.9
    avg low 79.0
    diff -3.9

    tank 2
    avg high 86.8
    avg low 78.2
    diff -8.6

    Tank 3
    avg high 87.9
    avg low 81
    diff -6.9

    Tank 4
    avg high 83.5
    avg low 79.8
    diff -3.7

    room
    avg high 78.3
    avg low 68.3
    diff -10

All temps taken on cool side, 5 inches in from back and side hanging 3 inches down(probe). all by the same type thermometers (cooper digital panel).
-IR readings also supports the temp variations

any ideas on how to get them closer in temp, and should i worry about the drops i am getting. also any other thoughts? Located in colorado and it winter time
    Thanks
    Shawn

Therm placement for the rancho is under the RHP half way between it and the floor, set at 90.(left side of cage) the others are on the cool end (right side) 5 inches away from back and sides about 4 inches down from celing.

I have tapped the probe to the bottom flexwatt in between the two cages I have. You may want to call Jeff on this one since you have a more cages.

I believe this is what's commonly recommended in a stack of Boaphiles

Jeff and I have discussed this and he thinks the placement of the probe needs to be between the RHP and the floor. the RHP's are the main source of heat in these cages and not the flex watt. The probe is in the bottom of the stack or cage 4

Got mine all dialed within .5 degree of each other. I had to make a dimmer/power reducer (reastate but i cannot spell it ) for the middle cages to reduce power to them. Thanks Jeff for a great fix. They are all where they need to be.
