  • Boaphile Flexwatr Question

I just received my Boaphile 322d. I had RHP and Flexwatt installed.
My question pertains to the thermostat probe. Am I understanding it right to put the heat probe inside and not underneath?
    Please!!

Place it on the inside your thermostat controls the temperature inside the enclosure

          Re: Boaphile Flexwatr Question

I have a dedicated reptile room that allows me to keep a higher ambient temperature, so I only use Flexwatt since there is no need for additional heat sources.

Basically, this means I'm of no help in the exact placement of a t-stat probe for the Flexwatt/RHP combination.

My advice is to call Jeff ( @The_Boaphile ). He is the master of all that is Boaphile plus he is a riot to talk to. The best way to contact him is by phone during normal business hours. He will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your cage and setup.

I have the same setup on my boaphiles and have herpstats controlling it, one probe on the heat mat and one inside for the rhp.

              Boaphile Flexwatr Question

I have a 11 month old boa that I plan to house in here for a while. I installed a TSTAT last night to use with the RHP. As of this afternoon the temp has only reached 83 degrees. I have not powered up the Flexwatt as of yet. Will it help raise the ambient temps to a better level or would this temp be ok as long as I have belly heat at around 90?
