  • Vision Cages

I recently purchased a vision cage at the hamburg reptile show for my baby amazon tree boa. Thus far I have had no problems maintaining the proper temps and humidity. I think the best feature about the cage is how super lightweight it is. This makes cleaning and life so much easier. b27.gif

I've heard only good things about them myself. Only thing that really keeps me away from them is the price.

I agree with you about the price. Overall the cages were cheaper at the show plus you didn't have to worry about shipping charges. When i do decide to buy another one of these cages it will surely be at another show and not online.

The Vision cages that I just finally got are great , I love them, and our boas do too. These cages really keep humidity and heat great .

All good cages are expensive wether it be a vision or a boaphile, sucks for me.

I have two boaphiles and they are great. Befor I got my boaphile's I had a glass tank and I was messing with that thing allday every day just to make sure that every thing eas right. With the boaphile I just pluged it into a thermostat set the temp and now I feel like I don't spend enough time with my snakes. The temp's stay constant aswell as the humidity. I don't have to mist or anything the humidity stays between 60and 70 with just a water bowl in there.
They are a little pricey but well worth it.

I recently priced a VIsion cage at LLL Reptile. I thought the cage price for the 422 was OK but LLL quated a shipping cost close to $200! s7.gif Add that to the price of the cage it becomes way too expensive.

I priced one at www.showcasecages.com and it was much more reasonable. Also, you can design it in practicarly any size you may want and a multitude (or maybe even a plethora ) of options are available. SInce I have a good commission check coming at the end of the month, I may order from them rather then build my own. :-*

Yeh, i would like to switch to Vision or Boaphile cages. However, I built all of my cages myself and besides the cost of replacing 20 or so cages, I'm kind of attached to 'em after all that effort. Some day! :-\

                    Re:Vision Cages

I looked at the cages that showcages make. They are some really nice cages, just one thing I wouldn't spend that much for a cage. You can get a cage that is just as nice if not nicer for almost half the price and that is with shipping included from the boaphile.

Your right...I wrote showcase cages but I meant Cages By Design ( www.cagesbydesign.com ). CHeck it out, I was impressed with the website and they way you go about custom designing your cage. The prices are good, too. They sell a 48" x 24" x24" for $245.
