  • substrate temp?

I was just wondering what a good substrate temp should be? I don't want my snakes belly getting burned. Plus I know the rigth temp will help with digestion. I just bought a raytech temp gun so I can get accurate cage temps.

    Re:substrate temp?

    Hi Tattoo,

On the hotside floor, I keep it at 90, and 85 on the cool side.. I use manily newspaper, so I can control the temp better.. Its hard to control other bedding because the snakes move the bedding around..

    Hope that helps..

In my boas cage i keep the temps at 78- 82 degrees on the cool side and 85 on the warm side. I also have a basking site that reaches 90 degrees.

The temps Damian Mentioned I assume he means the temp about an inch about the bedding, not the floor temp which is what I was talking about..
