Give me the best ideas for my upcoming tank. As in whats the best stuff or ways to go with one. He really likes to climb but its bc hes rather young. Think he'd try to climb to the moon if it was possible. The higher the better for him but i also want something that will last a while since I want to make it rather big. This will be my first time making one. Rather clueless and im not so good at building. Ha

Re: looks like yall have some experience...
I have an entire thread that got quite a bit of traffic and responses. I can link it for you if you would like so you can form your own opinion but after weeks of deliberating and already having a few custom cages, buying a pre-built one is the way I went and I will never look back. But again, there are pros and cons to both sides. -

If you are going to build a cage you will want to use melamine as your baseComment

Re: looks like yall have some experience...
Honestly, I love my Boaphiles, I just wish I had gotten them in grey instead of black but hindsight is 20/20. Hey, what if I just went ahead and ordered grey for just the boys? I could color code my snake room......sorry, I'm rambling. I like my Boaphiles is all I really meant to say.http://berkeleyknebel.wix.com/mississippimorphs

Re: looks like yall have some experience...
I have switched from building my own cages , over to buying Proline cages (in white ) from constrictorsnw.com . They use a better plastic material (high density poly-ethylene) ,
that Is non-porous, and much easier to clean .... Also 2" taller, for an easier accessibility . I've also dealt with Boaphiles . . . .Comment

Re: looks like yall have some experience...
I have both ProLine cages and Boaphiles and there are pros and cons to each. I got a stack from ProLine which was really good for the price but it hasn't held up over the years and through multiple moves. So I wouldn't recommend getting a stack but the single cages are nice. I went back and forth for a while and eventually went with Boaphile for my latest round of cages. I've been pretty happy with them so far although it is an extremely long wait time.
Morgans Boas how do you clean your ProLine cages? I love the white because it makes everything easy to see but I've never been able to keep them really clean. I use mostly bark in that cage and it stains the sides. After a few years it's looking kind of dirty despite my cleaning efforts : /“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.” -DA
