  • Mini Freezer recommendations?

I need a new mini freezer... I had been using a dorm style two door fridge/freezer 3.2 (with a separate freezer)... It's been unreliable, and doesn't keep items frozen. I am thinking about buying an 1.1 igloo mini freezer... What are you all using?

I bought one off Craigslist for $60 a couple years ago and it's been working great. It's quite and doesn't eat up a lot of power. I'm sure there are more updated models but I'll try to get the brand/model when I get home. Amazon usually has some good deals too and some of them are free shipping.

I use the same time of fridge/freezer. Fridge is for my food stuffs, but the separate freezer just became a burden with not being able to have enough food in it so I bought a 3 cu/ft standing freezer from Brandsmart USA(2 minutes from work) for $100 which holds all my food stuffs (and I can actually have frozen waffles for the first time in years) and the small fridge/freezer freezer holds mice. Both my freezers hold -10°F with no problems... Try adjusting the settings?

I have both my fridge and freezer next to each other so they are 38.5" wide under Buddy's table not touching the table so it is convenient with space and any vibrating they do wont affect the cage.

That's what I have, although you can find one cheaper, I wanted one in black to match my room. Works great, is pretty small though, I keep my cat and ferret food in there plus some rats and it gets cramped quick. I have to thaw it out every other month or so for the ice buildup but mine is opened often, it thaws and cools very fast which is nice. I have a separate fridge for thawing, iguana food, pops, etc with the typical tiny freezer portion, those are always too small for me and never seem to stay cold enough well.

Thanks for all your suggestions... The one I have is a Black and Decker BCD33B. After I purchased it, and had issues with it, I found reviews from other customers complaining that their freezers worked poorly as well. From my understanding it's the same (rebadged) model as the Haier currently sold at Walmart for $129.

I shopped forever to find a black space heater to keep my room all black, and I was eyeballing the WHS-52FB1 for that same reason. I might just go with that one.

Zaphod- I always bomb out on Craigslist... But I have been combing it, just in case

My separate freezer is white but I can always spray paint it with chalk spray paint to make it black and a chalk board surface if I ever feel the need.

No recommendations here as my freezer is a full size upright one. Too many snakes for a mini.

My fiance was less than impressed when I told him I wanted a tiny freezer upstairs. We've got three 7-10 cubic foot ones in the basement, one for people food, two for dog food. I just get so frustrated trying to keep all the pet meats organized and separated and lugging them several floors all the time was getting old.
