I've heard that like geese, turkeys can be a challenge...but hey, at least they had a sign up!? Sounds like an interesting household.

I had a pair of chipmunks as pets* that were very tame but also bold...and the one way you could get "attacked" was by having a wet towel on your head...like when coming from the shower. They liked to dive into
and roll around in damp towels, it turned out, and you were "fair game" with one on your head. (*that was many years ago, and they were actually not American chipmunks...long story, but I'm not encouraging anyone
to go collect wild ones for pets, even though they were hilarious at times.) I gave them the run of the house with supervision, literally...they'd run up & down the drapes playing tag and hide food under pillows, in the
pockets of jackets & so on. They also stole food (like dry noodles) from the cupboard if not watched closely. Sounds like the squirrel was a bit mellower? Normal people (-those who aren't animal fanatics) sure miss out!

I once saw a sign on someone's house that read: "Warning: premises guarded by attack rabbit" but I thought it was a joke? Not so sure now....

I responded to a call several years ago at a house that had a similar sign but stated a warning for a "guard turkey". Surprisingly enough, there really was one inside the fenced perimeter of the yard and there was no other way to the house than to enter the fenced yard. It made for an interesting call. lol

Inside the same house, I was walking by the refrigerator when I saw what I believed to be a mounted squirrel laying flat on top of the fridge with his face toward the side of the fridge and his tail laying in a straight line, flat behind him. I was thinking to myself that the taxidermist had done a great job because the squirrel looked phenomenal. Just about the time I was walking beside the fridge, still admiring the squirrel mount, the squirrel blinked.

Being the animal fanatics that we are, it didn't bother me in the least. I was just impressed to see such a tame pet squirrel laying around and hanging out.

That was a very awesome display of nature at its best! I too was rooting for the snake, but it's also interesting to see the underdog rise up in victory sometimes!!! This is a good example of why I like f/t!

This is sorta hard to watch since I am clearly on the side of the snake, but it shows just how much fight a rabbit may put up, especially defending her young.
