pet store purchase??

I went to a petstore today called Matco to see there redtails.
The cages were horrible, low humidity, no hide area at all, and some feces. (1yr olds) One of 3 was shedding but in very small pieces.
Another one was housed seperately but looked to be in better condition than the others but its cage was also dirty and had what looked like a half digested regurgitaded mouse rotting on the floor.
I wanted to buy them all to get them out of there but cant afford that. And dont know if i should even buy one from there. What do you think i should do?

hmmmm ill tell you what i did i went to a pet store id never been to before and seen a snake that looked dead i called animal control threw a fit and someone on here asked me why i didnt talk to the manager hmm that would be a good idea if i had remembered!!!!

I would advise you to contact your local animal activists and keep on them until something is done. Contact someone who knows the laws pertaining to how animals have to be kept and displayed in pet stores there are usualy laws against this kind of treatment and can even result in charges of cruelty to animals being brought forth. I will however warn you now that reptiles on a whole tend to be ignored by animal groups and you may have trouble getting them involved.

>  Yup i agree on that totaly with redtailedmel & Blackmarked, there is no reason any animals should be treated this way or housed like that and there should be more people with knowledge working in these departments!!! That gets to me everytime i here about things like this..... > Those poor snakes and other animals............. :'(
