Ok.. I need to fly out to Orlando, Florida asap atm. I am still trying to get a flight atm even..UGH. So I may be gone for a bit [ not dragging the pc with me and I don't have laptop atm either UGH] This is what's going on atm...

K.. What a fiasco.. Now I know why I like to drive so much ! lOL.. I prefer it to flying anyday !
I have been in Florida Orlando/Kissimmee area for a few days now. My dad is in criticle but stable condition atm. He has a major peritonitis infection that has gone septic also. UGH. I found a place to get ol for a few though.. I have to run..LATERS...

Well I know that this type of thing is just horrible... I have been lucky enuf so far in my life that I have only seen one of my relitives put in the ground.. I have been scared quit a few times... My grandpa has been for life threating surgery like 10 times... Well my grand parents have been to say the least, a large part of my stress.. I have needed three days of sleep once because of the hole thing... Just stay calm and hope for the best... lot's of sleepless nights and a very early grey streak has been the result... Well let what ever power that you seek for help, be there for you when you are in need...

OK.. I am back in MAss. now. TG!! LOL My husband and kidfs managed to keep all my rescues here going strong till I returned even I also had a friend who I met recently in the herp world help them out to a vast degree.. including cleaning cages and even doing some rehab care for my more medical in depth need ones also. I had actually started showing him how to take care of such things as stomatitis etc with snakes.. Guess that came into good use seeing as I have two snakes with such atm here. I am sure that my HUGE burms also appreciate the fact that their cages were kept clean and their bellies well fed while I was gone also. I legft STRICT instructions with my husband that he was NOT allowed to even so much as open any of the HUGe burm cages while I was gone without a second adult present. [ he actually listened to me for once lol] and my friend was more than willing to help with them also They even managed to get my non feeding AHS to eat while I was gone. [ Guess i can 'take off' more often now lol] ;D
As for my dad... he was veruy critical when I first went down to Florida.. he had just had two surgeries in the previous 24 hours and was on a respirator etc when i arrived at the hospital. he had peritonitis, which had gone septic...kidney failure bilaterally, was on mso4 to the degree of unconsciousness basically and had a bladder fistular among other things..UGH. I wasn't there 2 minutes when I was pulled aside and asked to make decisions in regards to DNR orders etc for him [ my mother was not in a mind that they even attempted to approach her with such at all].
After going over his medical care regime with his Dr's in regards to treatments needed for him...We managed to get the infection under control [ [i]IF just one more **** person asked me where I work in the medical field..I think I would have gone off on them..lol I really hate when medical people think that a general 'lay" person could not possibly comprehend what they are saying or have any level of intelligent input either. BUT My suggestions were taken and actually worked for my dad also . ]
He is now at a different hospital [ more local to where they live] and receiving great medical care and is on the road to recovery too. Enough so that i could get back home here today. BTW.. I am NEVER flying again !! I got pulled aside on all 4 of my flights I had taken for the purpose of in depth security checks , one of which I almost missed 1 of the flights back home even today... ARGHH.. Driving from here in.. Always knew I prefered to drive lol.
I gotta run and check in at some of the other boards I admin on also now. I'll be around now [ after I delete the 800 or so spam emails I have in my dang box..UGH. LATERS.
