looking for a Sav Monitor

i was wondering where i can find a good breeder, the local pet stores are kind of shakey to say the least

I just finished searching the web for about 30 minutes and could not find a reputable breeder/dealer. I found plenty of classifieds, so if you're willing to go that route, then check out kingsnake.com or just run a search for the Savs. Are you set on a Sav, the Nile monitor and Black-throat monitor are close relatives to the Sav, just trying to give you more options. What was the pet store telling you about their Sav? Well, if you find something, let us know what you got. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, maybe someone else here knows of a breeder and can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

there are really only two pet stores in my area that deal in any kind of lizzards\snakes. at both places the snakes are not very healthy looking, and have pretty bad mite probs... and i had bought a iguana at one that died about three weeks after i bought it. so i kinda stay away from them now... Petco is one of them. no im not SET on the sav, just like them, i was also looking at others....

I couldn't find any breeders online either. But I did find this sav monitor message board. Maybe somebody on there knows of some breeders.
