Hey everyone! I recieved a "Clark Baby" as our friend LEE puts it. LOL He came yesterday Airborne Express. He is soooooooooooo cute and the smallest boa I have owned. When I opened the bag he was wrapped up in oh-so-carefully, he was kinda balled up, like "who turned on the light's?" Then once I got him out, he was straight up my arm and curious like "HELP ME!" He is in a pretty big enclosure with a huge branch that he likes already. For about 2 hour's he surfed his home and finally settled down. I thought for sure he would go hide somewhere for a couple of days. Today at lunch I went to check on him and steal a peek under his hide and NO SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > > :'( :'( :'(
I was so bummed I can't believe he got out! He couldn't even reach the top! When I flipped up his carpet, there he was! LOL Hehehee. Did I scare you guys? LOL I cannot wait to hold him and get to know him. Just had to share because only "snake people" like us know the feeling.

Thanks Steve for a great deal and a beautiful healthy snake! **Beth**

Glad to hear your new baby arrived in great health. Kind of scary when you look into the cage sometimes and don't see your snake. I've had a few hang on to the sides of the rubbermaids and kind of startle me. Hope everything works out with your new snake.

      Hey Beth,

Sounds like he is settling in great.. I have had that scare a few times in the past. When I used to use 3-4 inches of bedding. I would have a baby or two that never hid, then one day, poof its gone.. Had to go digging..LOL

Glad he is safe and home..

      Great luck with him..

Thanks guys! I named Osiris, after the skateboard shoe's. LOL It was either that or Volcom, my favorite clothing line. Hehehehehe I thought it was funny not seeing him because I am used to my big girl's. Can't miss them, just like Delilah couldn't hide except in her hide. LOL

Thanks guys...... Yeah LEE, I had the hide on the hot side for about a day and he didn't like it so I moved it to the cool and now he does. Picky Boa's! LOL Gotta love'em though! And who say's snake's don't have personality! Mine are sooooooooooo individual and different. I cannot wait to see how my male act's. I wonder if he will be worse because he's a male................... ;D JUST KIDDING guy's!!!!!!!!! :P

                        Beth,

That male will stay calm and nosy if you start and keep holding him a few times a week.. He has an agressive posture, but thats just him, never struck even once.. I keep wondering if he is gonna get more orange in the next 6 months..

                          Re:Osiris

I held him last night for about 1/2 hour. When I first went to reach for him he hissed. But once I picked him up he was fine. I have never heard my girls hiss, so that was cool. LOL I think he is settling in well. He will get on his branch and stretch up the glass as far as he can. It's so cute. Ezzie shed yesterday......... perfect, clean shed. Almost 7 feet of it! I will let you know how the holding goes with everyone.
