Hey all,

I know as of the past few days I haven't been on as much as normal. Things at the rescue have been a bit crazy. In the past 4 days I have taken on three new rescue's

An adult Coral snake that would like to chew on my fingers abit

A normal Burm that lost a fight with a rat

and today an Albino Burm. This Albino Burm has to be one of the prettest albino burm I ever seen.

So that is most of the week.. I will be around more soon..

So that's where you've been. Wow......... take picture's I wanna see them all!!! How big are the burms????? That's funny that you just posted this because I sent you an IM right before that. But when I tryed to send it, my computer froze. Did you get it? Are the New York balckout's affecting you up there in Youngsville?

Hey Beth,

Well I can take pics of the burms, atleast the albino. The Coral snake is almost dead.. He took a serious burn down its whole sping from an inch behind its head all the way to the tip of the tail.. I did all I could for him, but didn't expect him to make it this far. When he came in, it was a chunky looking skin melt with lots of nasty stuff ozzing out.. I am treating it with antibiotics, but don't expect much..

Anyway.. sorry I got off track...LOL..

We did get hit with about 16 hours without lights.. Just glad to have them back on now.. I also got your IM and replied back..

coral snake you say...
Those are dangerous arnt they...
Be care ful...
They have a toxin that will eat the skin away form the bone...
That is if we are talking about the same snake.
we have them wild around here not to many though...

Hey red,

Yup thats the same kind.. Its dead now. I knew it wasn't going to pull through long.. But gotta atleast try.. He never did get my fingers, but he got an A for effort..LOL

Red, if i'm not mistaken there are 2 types of coral snake and you can tell the differance by looking at the bands on there body. One of the breed is poisionous but the other is harmless. I'm and pretty certain that's correct. If i'm wrong, someone correct me. 8)

I think you are talking about a milk snake that mimicks the same colors in different orders..

Red on Yellow "Kill a Fellow" True Coral Snake
Red on Black "Venom Lack" Milk Snake

OK figured since Clay is probly working on the pis posting problem, I would bypass it and post off my site...

He needs a little attitue adjustment. Has a super load hiss... Gotta love the blood rush..LOL...

I was told he loves to taste flesh, but so far, just some loud hissing.. It will take some time to get him to trust..

awe man he sure is pretty but i couldnt handle a snake that gets as big as the burmeses do 7-9 ft boa im cool with but 17-18ft python oh no thanks! i usually am home alot because of my hubby wied work schedule and it would take alot more than me to handle a snake that got that big!

8)Hey Steve, sorry to here the Coral snake didnt make it.. :'( Hows the burms doing, i see the albino is looking good hows the other one doing, whats the story behind these 2 snakes.. Whats the size on those 2??
