I rarely get bit but I got "tagged" by my Texas longnose snake the other day, when I reached in using tongs to feed him his f/t mouse-fuzzies, and he was so hungry that he came after the motion of my hand
INSTEAD of the food I put right in front of him! LOL!!! He was so fast & wrapped my hand, latching on with his teeth as best he could, it was hilarious...he couldn't even draw blood or leave marks. He's about
32" long & pushing 14 years...if you've never seen a "longnose" snake, they are called that for their narrow face...he's pretty too, black, yellowish-cream & orange bands on his slender body*. We're still friends...
mistakes happen! At least you got some blood to show for it- sounds like Conway was still having "feed-dreams"? (*a longnose snake is similar to a milk snake)

Oh yeah I held him for a good while after it happened. And we're still cool. He better be a lot nicer if he wants to get introduced to patsy later this fall!
