    Jamaican boas are legal in the US. They just can't be transported interstate.

    It's a Calico Dominican Red Mountain Boa. Calico is a color morph, and this image has been floating around for a while, but it's the only one I've seen.

    Dominican red mountain boa, calico morph. Typically they range from red to orange. Not a common species in the US as the babies prefer to feed on anoles for a while before they will convert over to mouse pinkies.

    They are easily handled, husbandry much like a BCI, usually chill, and the adults get around six to seven feet long. They are semi-arboreal and make a great display snake.

    Can anyone identify this snake and its species. Early this morning I received a photo via text of this snake from my partner and he never gave me any other information. I would love to know what type of snake this is.
