Been a LONG time since I dropped by. I stopped coming here after a spat with a moderator (apparently he frowned upon getting called out for something publicly, rather than privately and gave me an infraction for it).
A little while after my self-imposed hiatus, I decided to get out of reptiles completely (for those who didn't already know). It's been almost 2 years (if I'm remembering correctly) now and I still feel like I made the right decision, and I'd make it again. I was just... done. After over a decade in the hobby, I had had enough and was ready to move on and I don't see me getting back in.
What I miss... you guys. I miss the social interaction. Taking pictures of herps. Baby boa goo. Keeping my website up to date (completely gone now, btw). (Hopefully) Helping people. Camera talk.
What I don't miss... awful moderators (lol), constant fear/hysteria regarding legislation (I don't even keep up with it anymore - I assume this is still an issue), the reptile community and ESPECIALLY reptile sales on FB - I assume this too, is still the same - the race to the bottom [dollar]), snake poop/pee and cleaning it up, selling stuff, the genetics race, the repetitive issues (breed for greed, lack of quality, EVERYONE wanting to breed), and lots, lots more.
I shared some details of my life here before and thought I'd update anyone who may still care (if any, lol)...
My little girl, Kyla, is over 3 years old now. And she has a baby brother, Kian. He's 8 months old and just as cute as his big sister! My wife and I bought a house in Sarasota and are just loving life - despite it being INSANELY busy all the time (I really don't even have time for reptiles). I used a lot of the money from selling off my collection to buy cameras/lenses and now instead of taking pictures of herps, I take pictures of my kids which is equally fulfilling, but in a different way. Other than that, it's pretty "status quo" around here! A couple of shots I've taken of the kids :-)

Anyway... just wanted you guys/gals to know I was thinking about you and hoping the best for you all.
Later,

oh - and if anyone has produced anything with my old stock, I'd LOVE to see it! Some of them are definitely old enough now, and some should be ready for their first season right now, or in the next couple of years!
