  • READ FIRST! How to correctly Link your Videos in the Thread

The issue here is that the new software changed the way embedded videos work now.

There is the old url method and the new Video method. In the advanced editor there is an icon of a film strip. If you add the video using the video icon it will work as described. If you use the old url version, I will have to get an add-on module that converts it on the fly. I will look into doing that now.

Here are the current Video Content delivery sites that are supported by the direct video linking

    Supported videos include:
Hulu YouTube Vimeo Dailymotion Metacafe Google facebook

Here is an example of one of Steve's videos entered both ways..

First I will break the syntax so you can see them, and then you will see how they behave. One is a link and one is the video.

    [ url =http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYC9a3J0LDc&feature=youtube_gdata_player]YouTube - Mystic Potion - ROCK STAR ball python - A must see clip![ /url ]

    [ video = youtube;YYC9a3J0LDc]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYC9a3J0LDc [ / video]

It took me a few minutes to figure that one out, but the little "insert video" button makes it super easy.

Do you think there might be some way you can modify the embed code so that we see the "View Full Screen" icon down at the bottom?

I am prob doing something silly but: I used "go advanced" and clicked the film icon, then copied/pasted addy from FB. Link shows up but doesn't seem to go anywhere and there is no video, just the link in text. I also went to FB and made sure the video viewing permissions was set to "public". What am I doing wrong?
