Welcome here ---- Since you are a self-proclaimed newb, let me give you a couple of corrections to be more accurate ....
.

- "Columbian", is actually spelled Colombian ---- unless you're talking about a Boa from Ohio .

- If your Boa is a Hypo , it is technically not a "Red tail Boa" No Hypos are . And, 95% of captive Colombians aren't either. Pet shops call all Boas " Red Tails " , but it's wrong. That title is really meant for the true Red Tail Boas of the Amazon Basin -- BCC's , not BCI's . Your next step now is to start showing off you Boas --- post some pics for us, please .

That's okay , because most folks own BCI's.
