Here's my proven adult male Snow who's probably the jewel in my collection , certainly the costliest and most valuable money-wise. Sadly I'm having to let him go due to personal / family reasons


He's the poster- boy Snow Boa of the well respected John Berry Designer Boa Morph books .

He's around 6 *years old and approaching 7' long and very calm and friendly .

We've got a new baby arriving any day AND the general consensus is that they'd be happier if there wasn't a 7' adult Boa in the house

I don't see anything wrong with a baby in the house and a snake in the house. If you are are responsible, and I know you are because I've seen posts of yours in the past, there is no danger at all.

"They" are clearly worried probably more from the typical hype than for any real reason.

A separate room, proper cage and a trusty lock is all you need. A house fire is more probable than a male boa constrictor ingesting a human baby.

Glad he is staying mate!

Statistically, it's way more dangerous to have a DOG and a baby! And we know how many people think nothing of doing that. I'm glad that a padlock is bringing peace & acceptance: I've never heard of a
snake that could pick locks, lol.

Technically, it is more likely statistically to get struck by lightning -- survive -- get struck again -- survive -- and get struck one more time before sustaining life threatening injury and/or death from a non-venomous snake.

I'm not saying to play with fire, but always keeping an eye on your pets (any species) and your kids is the best way to ensure everyone's safety.

Probably because she was 6lb 6oz at birth and I've fed him Guinea pigs in the past had something to do with things ...

Are Guinea pigs 6 pounds? I would guess closer to 12 oz. max... Are you sure you weren't feeding R.O.U.S.es?
