Sorry, I keep forgetting to post. Well, here's the story for those of you who don't know. Last month my Girlfriend and I went up to Michagin to stay with Cuda for a weekend. Probably one of the best times of my life, all of you who couldn't make it, missed a great time!!!! The day before we left we receive/rescued a Kingsnake from a friend of JR's who recently died. Due to the length of time of his death, her cage had not been kept up. We got her out and she was sooooo docile and soooo calm. We just instantly fell in love with her. She was very dehydrated, so we cleaned her cage out and placed in a fresh new bowl of water and she drank and she drank and she drank, untill she could drink no more. I swear she finished the whole bowl of water off!!! We got her home and let her adjust for a couple days and we fed her a live hopper mouse and she took it right up. Luckily we were hoping this would happen, so we had picked up two of them. We place in another live hopper and she snatched it right up!! Well, while we were feeding, we found one of our pet mice had died. He was really small, barely out of hopper stage. I think he just starved to death. :'( :'( Well, rather than let it go to waste, we thought we'd see what happened with a pre-kill mouse. I shook it in front of her and she snatched it right up. Now after she ate, got completely rehydrated and is in a clean set up, she is a complete *****!! Every time I reach in she starts rattling that tail of hers, and arching back like she thinks she's a darn rattlesnake or something. She's strong and healthy now. In fact, Last week, she decided to prove how strong and healthy she is and escaped from her cage. We did finally find her about 3 days later, behind out entertainment center. Let me tell you, I taped that lid down real good this time!!! She ate a F/T pinky rat yesterday too. So, she'll eat F/T too. So this is a very good sign. I'll have some pix up soon.

Cali Kings are famous for the rattle snake with a headache syndrom.. With most that habit can be broken with a few bites and lots of handling.. Be glad your don't have one that loves to musk and swing its tail while doing it.. Now thats gross and makes a huge mess..

8)Well evil glad to here shes doing so well, its typical for a kingsnake to behave they way she is, now that shes doing well and feeling good.. ;D Im just glad you gave her a good home and another chance in life.. Rescues come in all diffrent types packages and she just happen to be a clean snake...even if she does have that im a tuffy attitude...LOL!!!!! ;D ;D I hope she stays with you for many yrs... I really liked her color...

OH trust me Steve, she likes to musk!! But she likes to make sure she rubs it all over my hands and arms!! The funny thing is, Lily actually likes the smell, but refuses to pick her up!!! She also likes the smell of skunks!! I'll never understand her!!! 8)

ewww...LOL..... too funny.. Hate skunk smell, but I do like the smell of lighter fluid and nail polish remover...LOL

HAHAHAHA.. Well I do have a makeup kit that would make most girls drool.. I am a photographer who has training in makeup..LOL Lighter fluid is a longer story...LOL
