I kinda' made my Northern Pine upset w/ me yesterday. It was feeding time. I forgot to check on him before offering the food. Well, he was opaque. He's just starting to get comfortable w/ me, well, maybe tolerant would be a better term. ;D So I figured it best to throw on a glove to get the fella out seeing as he wasn't seeing. Well, he got out of his tank & into his feedbox w/ minimal aggression. However, when I picked him up, I acquired a few woodchips, too. I'm talking like ten shards or less. They were on one end, so I figured: eh, no biggy drop the rat on the opposite end. Well, when I did, he ended up latching on & draggin supper to the other end (the one w/ the chips) to eat. I saw that a wood shard had stuck to his meal. I quickly threw the glove back on & got him off the rodentia to get the woodchip off it. Needless to say, he didn't care for it at all. He even struck at me. *lol* Try to save the poor thing a trip to the vet & what thanks do I get?
He was so upset that he was still hissing even when he downed the rat. It was too funny.
I am glad to see that he's a fairly slow striker, though.
