I've heard that Kings & Corns are bad about pooping, peeing, and musking when they're young. -for no rhyme or reason. TC says they usually stop by the time they're a year old.
A lot of young Colubrids musk to tell predators in the wild that they are stinky, and do not taste good. it's a defensive tactic like Benttoe said. the best way to combat this is not to put him down when he does it. If you put him back down he thinks that if he musks you you will put him down and not eat him. If you keep holding him he will figure out that you are not going to eat him, so he doesn't need to musk you. Also, when you get him out of the cage try to do it as quickly as possible. IOWs try not to chase him around, the more you chase them the more they musk in my expierience. Just keep some paper towels near by -Juggalo
I finaly got the little guy to stop musking me, but as soon as I did he decided to chew on me. That lasted about a week, (every time I took him out of his cage)
