Okay tell me temps and humidity again? I am not planning on keeping this guy long just want him to be happy while he's here. Does he have fangs or the same teeth as the boa's. I have a feeling I'm gonna get tagged my this guy. As I was cleaning his cage last night he hissed quietly about 6 times. Then when I went to go handle him he did it about 4 times. So I gave up for the night. Like you already said Steve, he's prolly not bluffing........... Is it normal for Burms to be so shy and grouchy? I've had him 2-3 weeks now (It think) and he has not cruised his cage once. I wonder if he's even drinking water.......... Let me know.
As for humidity, I forgot so I checked a few places.. its unreal, not one place said what % is ideal.. So based on my own knowledge, I would maintain them at about 60% and up to 75% during shedding..
Just an fyi, I am no burm expert (have never owned one actually) but from what I understand they are big time hissers but in most cases it is all talk, no bite. A little handling should go a long ways with him.
