Would it be ok to house two male ball pythons together? One four feet and the other 3 feet?

    Re: Ball Pythons

As long as there is room for them to move around, There should be no problem with housing them together. Unlike other species of males, snakes will get along very well together.

I couldn't feed them in the cage anyway because of the substrate.

They are a comparable sizing..same specie..Soo I don't really see a problem at all housing them together if ya want to. Just remember that if one of them gets sick or the like.. it could get passed to the other one quite easily. That could be a problem if it happened.

Male snakes do get along, with the exceptions of what others have posted. Just thought I'd add that if a female is introduced, the males probably will fight over her. This is just a wrestling match really, nobody gets hurt. Ball pythons are scaredy snakes as it is.

i think it should be ok to place them together b/c ball pythons get along very well. just put them in a box together and see what they do and keep them next to eachother for a while until they get to know one an other.....good luck!!

In my experience ball love to be with each other. My friend housed six together in a large cage, four males and two females, and had no problems. You just have to make sure that they each have access to seperate hides and the cage is large enough for them to all spread out. My friend I mentioned is actually a breeder and he has never experience any major fights, even rarely minor ones. Most of the time his were always clumped together into one large ball of snakes. The only other thing you would have to worry about as I believe lori mentioned is that if one gets sick the others will also get it. Also you have to make sure to clean the cage more often.
