How large are the snakes now ?
How long of a term are you looking for the cage to last also ? temporary like a year or life time ?

The cage would be for life.I dont have none of the snakes but have concidered getting a retic or a dwarf.I know most of the important things to know but I dont know what cagesize they need and I thought I would ask someone with real experience with retics cause I wouldnt want to get a cage and one day wake up and see the snake barely fits in it. :-X

well dwarf retics remain smaller than a regular retic however no matter what you will need a very large cage to house a retic for its lifetime. basically to house a retic for its entire life time you will need a room size enclosure. these snakes commonly grow to 16 feet or larger in captivity so you will need a huge amount of room. i personally know people who house large retics in enclosures with the dimensions of 36x72x36. however in my opinion these snakes really need a larger enclosure. dwarf retics on the other hand generally range from 8-10 feet in length so a cage size of 36x72x36 should be fine. overall the more room you can give your snake the better, and the happier it will be with its environment.

                Re: Retic cage size

OK,good cause 36 and72 feet would be enough for an retic-town.But 36x72x36 inches is 3x6x3 feet.Isn`t that small for an adult retic? I know they are just like boas that they don`t move around much but it still sound small.Or are the measurements for the dwarf?
