  • Cornsnakes were a hit!!!

Well my kids had NO idea that they were getting the creamscicles.  ;D ;D

Each has wanted one ever since visiting the children's zoo, because they would just sit there and hold the corns until the keepers took them back.

Well T.C. has come through with shining stars, and they were a HUGE hit.

Since both of the kids also have boas as pets (Go figure) they were initially shocked at the small size, and were afraid they would "break" them.  But soon they were amazed that something so small could be so fast......

Here are some quick pics we took...

I had the same problem... I had got a yearling rtb and I thought it was small... and then we got a rtb that was still the same size as when it was born so I realy do not know how old it was... I thought I was going to break it to.. Then I decided I wanted another snake... I tryed to find one that was going to be a good pet snake.... Well I came up with a corn snake... and then I bought one from the internet and when he arived he was so small I was actuly scared to hold him.. When I finley did I realized that I would probley not hurt the lil' one. I now hold him more then my red tail... and while I am holding my big red tial... Well mary christmas

Glad to hear that they were happy. They will grow quickly with a good feeding schedule and the proper temps.

Hey, I do know that they are due to shed anytime now, so if there is anything special I need to do just let me know.

HAHA Clay! Your home looks like mine..stick a cage just about anywhere lol.
As for the anything special question..NO ya don't..just make sure your temps and humidity are fine. Nothing more than that ..same as the boids even. You may want to try a lil misting to help insure a good shed though ;D

I'm not a corn snake person..tjhe only 2 I ever owned bit me more times in an hour space than I've gotten bitten in one years time by my boids lol. Least my boids are " gentle" when they bite me lol.

Actually the table shot was how the kids saw them on Christmas. They have since been moved to their rooms. Trust me, my wife would have shot me by now.

The corns were something my kids have wanted for a long time. Don't get me wrong they love their boas.

I am strictly a boa guy myself. And my "Boa Building" is where I spend the majority of my time.

These corns are extremely gentle, but then again they are soooo small. One shed last night, so that leaves one. It looks like my settings are fine because the shed was perfect.

Glad to hear the one shed perfectly. It pretty much takes a humidity of like zero to prevent a good shed with a Corn. How about them colors after the shed ;D

HAHA Clay.. My husband "flips" over me keeping cages EVERYWHERE in the house..lol BUT I get my way hehe. My livingroom alone has 15 snakes and their cages housed in it 7 of which are 8-11'er Boas heh. I'm sure ya could imagine the size of their caging lol AND YES my livingroom is VERY large at that ! I like having my snakes where I can enjoy watching them ;D

Great to hear that shed went well ! I wouldn't play with anything then if such is the case on those 2 snakes.
