Re:How's this for a cool pic?

Well I don't know how toxic there venom is, me personally would treat them the same as a diamondback even though we know they are far less dangerous. You never know what kind of venom you might be extremely alergic to. And a bite from that tree snake might not be the best way to findout. I think any venoms snake, doesnt matter how potent there venom is should be handled with much more care than any boa or colubred. ;D

Yeah that's a very kool pic. Poor Tokay is right. But Like I've said before, once a Tokay latches on, it don't let go!!! It is weren't for the venom, I think it would be a toss up on who would win in that match. Because once the Gecko's dead, the jaws are still locked on!!! Very kool looking snakes those are. Question though, what makes them classified as "Flying"?

They're classified as "flying" because they fly. Or rather, they glide instead of flying. What they do is jump out of a branch, then flatten their bodies from the neck to the vent to help them glide longer distances. They also slither while in the air, and it's been said it looks as if they're swimming in the air. Nobody really knows why they fly, but most likely it's for these 3 reasons: to move from tree to tree, to catch prey on another tree, or to escape a predator. The page I read said that they performed the best when they were trying to get away from the researchers. Flyingsnake.org

Tokays...jaw pressure and zero acid build up. ;D I bet the snake was feeling it.
I have a friend who works in the reptile dept of a pet store. He got a tokay to bite him on the forearm. They held it underwater, they burned it with a lighter, they smacked it on things, put it in the freezer, put a snake probe through its head and all this was after trying the usuall ways. My boy tied his tokays neck to his wrist so when it decided to drop off 3 hours later it wouldn't go anywhere. It did leave a mark.

OK, I'm sorry but that is just cruel!!!!! There are much, much more humane ways of getting them off!!! Like just dealing with it and waiting for them!!!!!!
