i told a couple of you in chat the other night i was going to get my son his first snake as a surprise. so here she is i believe he said she is a cross between a cal. and a bananna king. let me know what u think!!!
Oh wow Lee thats a cool looking snake, i like how its marked... Nice snake, is it eatting well for you?? Deffinately got cal. king in it... Its really cute whats the size on that one??
I just got her last night cuda and she just ate wednesday so i haven't had the chance to see if she will eat.. The good thing is the guy i got her from just told me to keep her for a couple of days and see how she does if seh doesn't eat for me or anything he said he would take her back no problem. lol when i got her last night for the first 5 min i was getting tagged by her LOL never broke skin but it was funny to watch lol she would rattle her little tail and S back and shoot right at my fingers LMAO but after 5 min she decided it was not going to do anything to me so she just sits there in my hand and chills out lol. now i can grab her no problem which is good so now i know my kid will be able to hold her when he gets back into town from vacation. what a surprise he is going to have when he gets back.
Cute snake you got your son.. If it is part Cali King, the nippyness is normal.. I know alot of folks that have cali kings and they either get musked alot, or nipped. Seems when they do calm down, they do so with one person. This lady up the road had three Cali kings and she can hold them all the time no problems, but if anyone else picks them up they end up getting slimmed or nipped..
Steve she has tamed down alot it was just for the first 5 min. i got her and i have since been having everyone around hold her so she gets used to being held by a variety of people at the young age that she is.
Since I did live in Southern California for 17 years I have caught many many Cali. Kings. And not one has ever been nippy. They have always been the nicest, easiest snakes to care for. So its weird when some of you say they are nippy, but from the 15 - 20 I have caught and owned, not once have I ever been bit by one.
