Behold my hilarious attempts to take some pictures of my JCP. I love this guy but he doesn't know the meaning of stay still.

Jungle Carpet Pythons are the smallest of the Carpet Pythons. On average they're slender snakes in the 5-8ft range, if you've seen Brazilian Rainbow Boas they're built very similar. I used to have a lot more in my collection but when I moved from California my friend bought out my collection so Saxony is all I have left. He's five years old and I would guess around five feet, he's thickened up a lot over the last year. They're definitely one of my favorite types of snakes. Even the normal ones like Saxony are gorgeous and there are some amazing morphs out there too. They're also very inquisitive snakes, they can be a bit nippy when they're young but with handling and age they usually get better but they tend to always be active snakes. Some of my boas will just sit and chill with me when I talk them out, JCP's tend to always be on the move which is kind of fun : )

What a beauty!

Obedience training is definitely not an easy task in this hobby.

Absolutely stunning! They are difficult to take pics of when they are always on the move. You should look into into those cat trees, a lot of people use them for their snakes, I plan on getting/making one when I have the room to put one!

zamora in the past I've put together stuff for them to climb on, usually just something really simple made out of wood. Unfortunately my reptile room is very small and oddly shaped so I don't have the space. No matter where I would put it he would be able to reach somewhere else, lol. Someday I'll have a bigger reptile room or an office I could put something in for them to hang out on. Priorities.

You just have to get "creative"? I once saw a house that was REALLY set up for people's beloved pet cats...they had "cat-walks" going from room to room, mostly near the ceilings, & the cats loved & used it. So all you
really need to do is suspend some branches that interconnect....LOL! (and we want pics if you do!)

Wow! What a Stunner Zaphod, such vibrant colors.

I was looking for a Jungle when I came across my Coastal that I fell in love with. And she won't stop for pics either. I delete about 3-4 pics for every one I keep because they are just a blur.

BTW- the Irian Jaya Carpet Python is the smallest with an average length of 5-6 ft.
