Here's a pic of the cage. Oh yeah, I found out what those little buggers were in the cage. They are baby crickets. You don't think they will harm the cockroaches do you? When I made the cage, I made the mistake of using some of the dirt that was in the usumbara's cage on the bottom of the cockroaches cage. I guess one of the crickets Kindle didn't eat laid eggs in the dirt and the moss. Now I have baby crickets in both cages!!! Stupid crickets!!! Any ways, here's some pix.

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
OK, I'm not sure if you can tell or not from this distance. We tried to get better close ups, but could not get them to hold still to close in on them. But does anyone know what those white spots are all over their body and legs? I was told at the pet shop and have seen it on line that Cockroaches have mites naturally, but could that be what they are? If anyone can tell and can see them, please let me know what they are.Comment

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
8)Wow cool shots there Evil, yup them is babies alrighty... They have a long way to go befour old enough for breeding.. As for the mites they should not be harboring any at all!! Its kinda hard for me to tell if those are mites you gota figure out away to help clean them off the roaches.. they almost look like some sort of parasite eggs.. Try using cork bark in there house if not find a old rotted log or some bark from a tree and soak it in scolding hot water for a hr to kill any bugs on it.. Make sure to use lots diffrent fruits and veggies and sprinkle that with vitamin calcium powder, mist one part of the log or bark once a day to... If those arent mites or eggs could be sand granuals... Also chicken laying mash is good for them to eat as well.. If ya keep temps are 78 they will grow alittle faster.. Good luck on them bud once there mature within few months after that youl start seeing babies..8)

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
I don't know what they are all over them!!! All I know is that most of them have those little white eggs or what ever the heck they are!! And I'm not sure how to get them off with out taking the chance of hurting them or killing them!!!! I'm not sure how it could be Sand Granules, because they are in spangum moss/dirt mix. Do you think all the little crickets in the cage will hurt them, or will the probably just become cockroach food?Comment

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
:-\Have ya tried using a Q-tip to try to like brush them off?? I dont think new born crix will hurt them but they can anoy them.. If they are mites your not gona wana use them as feeders as the lizards or any other critter that eats them might get um, if there some kind of parasite eggs then ya need to find out where its commin from... I would see if you can brush the dots off with the Q-tip and trash the bedding and get new make sure ya wash there house down good.. They really shouldnt have any mites on them... ??? :-\Comment

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
Hey Evil,
I know nothing about roaches except I don't like them.. Sorry..
But is it possible the white dot are calcium or vitas? Or maybe lice. I have heard that hissing cockroaches can have lice.. Just a guess..

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
Well, lice is possible. But what do we do now!!! Now I'm probably going to have to treat the entire house, Us, the cats, the Snakes!!! And how do I treat the T's and the Cockroaches W/O killing them?Comment

Re:Pix of the cockroaches
:-\ Hey Evil, dont freak out i really dont think its lice, either mites or something else and if there in that container and on the roaches i dont think they will spread anywhere as long as ya dont use them for feeders till ya figure out what it is..I would still just clean there house and bedding and try the Q-tip to get off as much as ya can and over time that should help alot.. If whatever it is aint killin the colony then you should be ok as long as they dont get over run by them.. moisten the Q-tip and wipe the white spots see if they move or come off.. If not try some vasaline, ooops spelling check on that, anyways make sure you clean off all excess vas. on the Q-tip and then use the Q-tip to dot them off..Comment
