And sounds like its enjoying its new home, temps right humidity right, good job!!! As for the webbing brazilian blacks will lay a webb bed down when molting and some in there house as well, but there not big time webbers like some other T's.. As for slow growing if its a female it could take up to a yr. or more to reach full size, but that all depends on feed intake and housing temps and care.. if its a male it will grow alot faster, ive seen some males molt twice a month till maturety, females that are small will molt up to once a month but usually every other month on up to 3 months all just depends on the T.. The golden baboon sounds to me like a Usumbara, also known as the golden starburst baboon and several other names, they are extremly mean and not handlable!!! they are the type of T that is good for pet and studying only no touchy!!!!!! that price for one thats about full grown as they only get max 5 inches, is not to bad but i have seen them way cheaper... could be a male possibly that there trying to get rid of at that size.. :

So how long are the life spans of males compared to females...?
Also should I just feed him/her intell she refuses or just like three every two days....???
And what about the size of chrix... Can they be kinda big.... or is that a no no.. I don't want to hurt him...
And last of all when and how do I handle this lil' bugger...
Should I wait for it to get bigger...

8)Ok Red first off, male Ts only live few yrs.. and females will live anywheres from 10 on up to 35 yrs..Brazilian blacks im not sure about but should be around 15 to 25 yrs. As for the crix i would stay on the small side, some crix that are to big could harm your baby T. and few every 2 days or so is fine.. As for handling you can handle anytime, just make it short periods, make sure that when you do take it out dont let it fall or jump off your hand as a fall might kill it.. Use your finger or the end of a small very soft tip paint brush and prod it slowly onto your hand once in your hand be real slow and careful cup your hands alittle and sit down on the floor with it.. let it crawl around on your hands for few, each time you can do it longer till you have confidence enough to walk around with it but make sure it never drops....Just remember that they can and will move very fast.. babies are sometimes alittle skittish.. If you dont want it on your hand then use a deli cup or something like that and get it into that and then when your sitting down let it slowly walk out onto your hand.. I think youl do fine Red.. sounds to me like you have a real nice baby... ;D

It eats like a pig... I fed it another one today at lunch and it gobbled it up...

Oh ya how do I keep it from jummping out of my hand.... He/she is kinda funny...
I moved it out of its hiding place and it raised up its but and was reluctant to move... kinda funny look'in... then it walked with a very slow strol like I am going because I want to not because you are pushing me around with a paint brush... lol

P.s. I have some crix that are perty close to full grown... like the size down from full grown... Is this to big...??

Spiders have a sucking stomach which they use to suck the insides clean out of the cricket. Sometimes they leave the shriveled-up empty cricket skeleton behind, sometimes they eat that too, usually when they're really hungry. I'll post a picture of a T's internal anatomy, it's fascinating how different it is from a vertebrae's anatomy.

The Venezuelan suntiger is very agressive and super fast.. You can not handle these T's, there bite can make you sick and swelling and sever pain at the bite spot.. Im use to working with pokies so it dont bother me nun...hehehe!! I cant wait to see this baby, its only a 1/2 inch.. 8)

Well I have some more "?"s for you....
One I am afraid to hold my lil' guy because it is so small I think if it gets off my hand it will run away and I will never see him again.... ??? ??? ???
Two.... How do I know I he is full will he quit eating or will he eat like a pig intell he dies like a gold fish...

8)Ok Red, well first you can try holding your T while sitting in the bath tub as it has sides that the T canot crawl up the sides of the tub, till you get use to the T this will help you out, just tansport the T in a small conatiner with a cover on it and then sit down in the tub and let the T crawl out onto your hand and crawl around, after few mins you can prod it to the container and take it back to its cage.. Most Ts will eat till there full, most will refuse a crix after it has had what it needs. like say you feed few crix and then later you try to give it more it dont want to touch the crix or it avoids it then its full. You want to keep the T alittle on the hungry side like for a day or two..Like i said feed one day then skip two days, try again. T's will not over eat and kill them selfs.. To bad you didnt live around here i would give ya some handling lessons hehehehe!!! J/K:P ;D

P.s. I guess I have not fed him enuf I keep feeding him like every day so far and he just keeps hunting them down and gobling them up...I guess once he refuses one I will wait a couple days to feed again...
