Glad you like it, Cuda. It means a lot that you like the setup, since you know so much about them. I will definitely move her up into a larger container when she gets larger. But, believe me, she has plenty of room in this cage for now.

The pictures don't really show it well, but I like how she's built an "upper floor"above the leaves on one side of the setup. You can barely see it above the leaves on the right side in the first pic. The only thing I don't like, is that this area is her favorite place to sit, and it puts her up very close to the top. I worry about her bolting, but so far, I haven't had any problems.

When I throw crickets in, I aim for the web where she is most of the time. I have to admit it's just a tad amusing to watch them bounce off it like a trampoline every now and then. The web really is stronger than it looks. Also, in the second pic, you can see where she built a little floor just above the substrate, and it has dirt hanging from it. Well, the crickets love hiding in that small space under the web floor. It seems to be their favorite hiding spot, even though it puts them right in front of her, with the floor in between. It makes it really difficult to try and fish them out with a paintbrush without messing up the web. Crickets aren't eaten as quickly as they used to be before the webbing began. Got any ideas?

The holes in the side allow her to choose her preferred humidity level, as the side without holes doesn't dry out as quickly as the other side. During the photo shoot, like the scorpions, she tried frantically to get out of the sunlight each time I turned the jar. It was a pretty hot 100 degree day when we had them out to take pics. But, you can see her butt and one of her legs in the 2nd pic behind the cork bark.
