Re:Got a T ....
Well, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the pink carapace was Chilean Rosehair. But, the hair coloration is all wrong. I've never seen a black rosie.I'm thinking it may be Xenethis immanis. I don't know what the common name is. I've seen this species before, but I can't quite remember the name. Did the person you buy it from give you any name for it? Maybe that'll give some sort of clue.
Oh yeah, get the sponge out of there, and get it off the sand. The sponge will harbor harmful bacteria, and the sand can cause problems when it gets into the T's booklungs. I'd put it on a mix of peat moss and potting soil (without fertilizer).

8)Well first off wow thats a very beautiful rosie, rose hair T. Very nice color to that one.. And yes you need to get it on some diffrent bedding as rocks are no go at all for the heath of your T.. Or you can set up a area with peatmoss mix at one end of the cage with a hide house.. And make sure you use just a plain water dish for the T no sponges or water bites please... Still very very nice looking T ya got there sid....WAY TO GO BUD!! CONGRATS!!! you are now one of use 8 legged fuzzy addicts.. LOL!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
