Looks pretty small, I'd have to take a guess at around 3"?

Cute little baby!! I've heard those are pretty hard to keep though. What do you think?? I've been thinking about adding one to my already big family of babies!

I've been wondering the same thing. How difficult are they to keep. I've been thinking on getting a couple of them. I already have a very large cage, I just have to completely line it with Plexiglass. I love Chameleons, they are so pretty!!! Question for ya though. Do you think you would be able to keep a Veiled and a jackson Chameleon housed together?

To answer your question? No a jackson gts alot bigger then a veiled..and why put up plexi glass mesh cages are the prefered cage for raising a chameleon. I've done alot of research on them but don't want to shell out the cash for a pet I can't hold because it gets to nervous. They are very fragile.

                    Re: pic of Numfar

Well, so far he has been pretty easy to keep. I have him in a 65 gallon mesh reptarium with 3 big hanging plants (fake), lots of branches, a waterfall, and vines. He loves to walk all around the cage. I have a basking lamp and a full spectrum uvb light during the day, and for nightime a red night bulb. I found that he likes his basking temp around the 90's while the rest of the cage is in the high 70's. The only challenge I've had is with the humidity. Having the reptarium makes it a little difficult to keep moisture in there.

Oh, I forgot to mention that you're not supposed to house them together...they are solitary animals.

i Know with my aquarium for my Boa Mitch I drape a wet towel over one part of the top of the aquarium and it brings the Humidty up to the 60-70's . Also you could buy a fogger wich will bring the humidity way up. You put this little machine in the water bowl and it mists and fogs its pretty sweet I saw it at Petco. I think it was $25 dollars. Good luck. I hope this helps.

The fogger is actually $80.00 at PETCO, but I warn you that it does a very good job at raising your humidity, it will also completely soak the ground of your reptarium. Just food for thought!

8)You can use suranwrap to cover part of the cage to hold more humidity in, veiled chameleons dont need super high humidity but you must make sure they are drinking well you need a water drip system in the cage..As for feed make sure you calcium coat your feeder insects..And they do need lots UVB, try also useing a live ficus tree if you can find one..Jacksons are smaller than veiled. What are you feeding so far??? And thats right you can not keep chameleons together unless for breeding or if you have a huge cage that only houses females...
