I got this one from the same place; http://www.reptilecity.com, well anyways sooo cute but so fragile. I don't know how old he is, but I'm guessing a week or two because he still has the yolk-sack-slit on his belly, ok here is a pic of Diesel ;D , more to come..

everywhere i look it says they get tamer with time, i dunno but all i know is that they are really cool, i had one but it got sick or something, didnt make it, it was older, but this one is a real funny guy, great personality, the only down side of them is the size of the enclosure they need.. they need at least a 8ftDX2ftWx2ftT cage, but hey other then that they are AWESOME lolComment

8)Aawww now those are cute baby pics...
My buddy had a Sav. and it got huge and had real fat jowels.. was real tame to use to feed it out of a dog dish on his kitchen floor and would let it have the run of the house for few hours each day.. Some get dog tame when older.. depends on how well its handled as a youngster..

lol... if your going to get it anywhere get it from www.reptilecity.com they have baby monitors for 25 bucks... they are about 6 inches long so if you have a spair 20 gal tank around its fine... and cagesbydesign has a nice cage for ONLY :

lol barracuda... ive only seen pics of big monitors.. this is my first healthy one. I can wait for it to get big, but ive heard that obesity is a huge problem in captivity and it can be fatal because of fatty deposits on the liver and other internal organs :'(Comment

The fatty liver thing is if you feed it mice and rats its hole life????? I think... :P I don't know the exact diet but I read all about these things once about a year ago... there is a diet that will make it nice and helthy... The hogg nosed snake has the very same problem... Well perty close...

yeah there is a diet like that, i think its something like: 1-2 mice a week, then in between that crickets- for excercise, and SNAILS, which my monitor absolutley loves :P :P They are worth the extra money because they are soo smart. My older savannah , Tank, used to know his name and he was potty trained, tranied to go on a newspaper... my room is really hot, which is where my snake, Zack, is my two leopard geckos, and my sav. Tank used to get free roam of my room from about 12:00pm till about 4:00pm. But you gotta watch out cause whatever they can knock over or ruin they will ;D ;DComment

Thats right Red mice all the time can make it real fat and kill it with kindness.. Thats right Zack,fatty deposits on the liver and other internal organs.. Its the liver that goes and kidneys.. Here this is a pic of my girlfriends Nile monitor playing with her boyfriend.. and nope hes not mean at all.. he walks on a leash and takes a bath in the tub and eats out of a dog dish on the kitchen floor to just like my other buddies Sav. did..
