red tegu

my tegu is i'm guessing 8 or 9 months old. for the past couple months he hasn't grown at all he's stayed at 15 inches, and hasn't gained any weight either. do i need to be concerned? what could be wrong? he has started to eat a little bit less, could this be him trying to go into hybernation? if anyone could answer any of these questions i would love you for it!

I am not quite sure but I think it might be cause its winter and the days are getting colder. my Red has been sleeping all the time and only comes out to eat, but he has been eating a little less also. Just keep an eye on him and make sure he eats something. If he doesnt eat all at take him to a vet.

How is the whole cage set up? Temps, humidity, size, lights? What all have you tried feeding him? -Juggalo

Update- My Red Tegu has now stopped eating completely. I think she has got to be hibernating cause she sleeps all the time, i hardly ever see her.
