8)hehehehehe!! thats to cute Zack, and yup i do have these all over here where i live, as a matter of fact i have 2 females that are living in my living room, they eat very well as captives, both are tiny but big enough to take down large crix with no probs, fat chubby bellies to hehehehehe!!! Nice shots Zack.. ;D I will soon be putting them in one cage together since females can dwell well together... They can get a real pretty green color to match leafs and also a grayish color to match tree bark... The males can be very loud when calling..
lol cuda thats awesome, i wish i could find some females, but i locate them by the calls so all i find is the darn males lol, they are soo cool to hold, little sitcky things lol
8) ;D Yup they are cool, sticky little toe pads..LOL!!! Do you have a pond or anything like a swamp around you anywhere?? you can try looking there during the night with a flash light... If not try going out on the roads at night when it rains, most the time youl see them out on the road as its rainning.. We have lots swamps by us and few lakes.. when it rains we go out road cruisin looking for frogs... On very cool nights when it rains go to a swamp or pond with a flash light and look around the edges of the swamp/ pond and look for newts and also salamanders.. but the night has to be cool out say around 58 to 60 while its rainning...
well actually i have a stream down in my backyard in the woods, its been raining a lot here, i caught the one that i did yesterday in my neighbors pool. It's been raining every day her for like 2 weeks so i may go down there are they on the ground or in the trees?, and just a few mins ago went snake hunting, found about 30 garter snakes piled under a old car hood lol. Well tonight i will probably go down there and look. ;D
8)wow that sounds cool Zack, try looking on the ground at night with flashlight as they are in the trees durring the day at night they come down and most will be around the water or porch lights... sounds like ya hit pay dirt there with them garter snakes.......
awesome, i just went down to the stream and caught some green frogs, their in with my turtle, im just keepin them for a few days so i can watch em, i got a cage all set up for a tree frog, or a toad, whichever i get first ;D ;D ;D
steve, i had it only for a couple hours before it started calling, was way to loud to keep it in the house so i put it back where i found it, im gonna look for some females to keep so they dont chirp wicked loud, he did eat 1 cricket when he was in that tank though ;D
Zack you remind me of myself when I was a kid..I used to catch anything I could in Florida and put it in a Tank..Alligators,Turtles,Snakes,Lizards, tortises, anything that moved I was after it!! Heck I almost got my eyes scratched out trying to take a hawklette out of its nest..I wanted that bird so bad but mamma had other plans for me!! LOL.. I never heard such a loud schreeching noise as I did when that Hawk latched onto my head!! Im suprised I made it out of the tree with out falling and killing myself...
HAAHHAHAHAH , oh man dude you know what i did once, my mom has these bird nest house thingys, and these sparrows had some babies, so i unscrewed the bottom and took out one of the babies and raised it myself. Was so cool, he finally flew away but he comes around everyonce in a while, can tell its him because he comes a little bit closer then all the wild sparrows lol ;D
