8)Aaawwww arent they so cute when they just start getting there hair.. Hey Clay, by any chance do you ever breed a certain color and then end up getting several diffrent colors out of a litter?? Like hooded to hooded and end up with browns, grays and creams? Or some that are all one color?

LOL Cuda! You are like my wife. Her favorites are the golden hooded rats, So I always had to breed goldens to goldens so she would have a lot of those babies.

Other than that, no I never did breed for any specific coloring.

(I bred for the freezer.. Shhhhhhh don't tell my wife

Jeff Ronne, on the other hand starting really pairing his hairless rats, and they are really cool. If you order from him (Which I do once in a while) you will get hairless rats in the mix.

        Re:Ohhhhh RATS!!!

Although snakes cannot digest hair, it helps provide some sort of roughage that aids in digestion. While it's okay to use pinks for baby snakes, it's better to use prey that already has its fur for older snakes. I don't think hairless rats are necessarily bad, I think it's better to give prey that has the fur for roughage. I read about a person whose ETB suffered from ERS (Emerald Regurge Syndrome), that was given hairless rats, and it actually reduced the likeliness of regurgitation.

You would think that after all them times when they was younger they would wonder where are they and why did they always get loose only when they was in school.. Andrea got hip soon enough she always tells people "gee i use to have pet rats but mom fed them to the snakes even though she said she didnt, we know dont we mom".. eeeeeeeeee busted.. LOL!!!!!

Oh Yea! Any rat that escaped became an instant meal. ;D ;D

I can promise you that the ones that figure out where to chew to get out will continue to do so regardless of what you do. So I make them a treat for someone ;D
