We currently have 2 pet rats and 4 pet mice. They were all survivors of snake feedings. Well......the two rats were survivors from switching to F/T on one of our snakes, one of the mice was a survivor, the other three mice were just friends we bought for the first mouse. These little guys are so cute and fun to play with. I was just wondering if I was the only one who keeps live mice/rats as pets or do others here have them as pets too and not JUST food.

Hey Evil I have had both as pets.. They were cool, just like rabbits, except they poo and pee all the time.. Couldn't stand that.. plus its no fun holding the rats then washing your hands and having a 7 foot snake strike your belly..LOL

8) we got a few gerbils that are just pets, but there babies arent .. LOL!!! The gerbils dont stink like the mice and rats do.. pluss there cute and got a cool personality... now the rest well there all breeders and feeders.. gota thin out my gerbils there over populating.. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. LOL!!! ;DComment

;D I have a few breeder mice 10 actually 8 females and 2 males. I treat these like pets. Although there babys are food for my Savhanna Monitors Tank and Sweet Thing...lol..So Cuda Gerbils really don't smell? Because the smell of these boogers is killing me ..caonstantly sparying air freshner and cleaning... :PComment
